An independent check for teams running Freshdesk and Freddy AI Agent.
This page compares Freddy AI Agent’s resolution-session billing, not the Freshdesk help desk itself.
Freshdesk is a ticketing platform with its own AI layer: Freddy Insights for reporting, and Freddy AI Agent, billed at $49 per 100 sessions beyond the first 500 included, where a “session” is any activity inside a rolling 24-hour window. If the same customer writes back on day three about the same problem, that is a new session, not a reopened one.
Supportman does not run on Freshdesk today; it is Intercom-native. For Intercom teams, it does the part Freddy Insights does not: real-time CSAT/DSAT in Slack, AI quality scoring on every closed conversation, and — in build now — Problem Episodes, a persistent record of one customer’s one problem, with a verbatim quote behind every claim about whether it actually went away.

A session ending is not the same thing as a problem going away.
With Freshdesk
- Freddy AI Agent is billed per session, and a session is any activity within a 24-hour window — a customer returning on day two starts a new billable session, not a flagged reopen
- Freddy Insights reports resolution and deflection on Freshdesk’s own definition, with no quoted evidence attached to the claim
- No persistent record links two Freddy sessions from the same customer about the same underlying problem
- Two separate line items: per-agent seat pricing ($19–$89/agent/mo; Omni $29–$119, third-party-reported†) plus Freddy AI Agent at $49 per 100 sessions
- A problem that resurfaces past the 24-hour window shows up as a fresh, unconnected session rather than a recurrence
With Supportman
- Real-time CSAT & DSAT alerts in Slack the moment a rating lands
- AI quality scoring (IQS) on every closed conversation, graded against your rubric
- Building Problem Episodes: linking a customer’s conversations about the same issue into one record, with a quote behind every resolved/unresolved claim
- Published per-user pricing, no session metering
- Self-serve, live in under two minutes, no credit card
Freshdesk vs Supportman pricing, side by side.
Freshdesk is priced per agent seat ($19/$55/$89 billed annually; Omni $29/$79/$119, third-party-reported†), with Freddy AI Agent metered separately at $49 per 100 sessions after the first 500 included, and Freddy AI Copilot at $29/agent/mo on Pro and Enterprise. Supportman does not run on Freshdesk today — it connects to Intercom and Slack, with a published per-user rate and no metered AI line item.

When Freshdesk is the better pick.
If Freshdesk is your system of record, keep it — this is not a “replace your help desk” page. Freddy AI Agent is a reasonable way to automate first-line replies, and Freddy Insights gives a workable resolution and deflection view at the Freshdesk level. The gap is narrower and specific: a 24-hour session boundary cannot tell you whether the customer who came back on day four is dealing with the same unfixed problem, or a new one. Supportman does not run on Freshdesk yet — Intercom is the only integration today, and Freshdesk support is a roadmap item without a committed date.
Freshdesk vs Supportman, answered.
Does Supportman work with Freshdesk?
Not yet. Supportman is Intercom-native today. Freshdesk support is on the roadmap, without a committed date. This page compares Freddy AI Agent’s approach to resolution against what Supportman does for Intercom teams.
What counts as a Freddy AI Agent “session”?
Freshdesk bills Freddy AI Agent by session, $49 per 100 sessions after the first 500 included, where a session is any activity inside a rolling 24-hour window. A customer who writes back after that window starts a new, unconnected session rather than a flagged reopen.
What is a Problem Episode?
Supportman is building a persistent record that links a customer’s conversations about the same underlying problem, up to 90 days, and classifies the outcome — still unresolved, came back, promised and forgotten, or genuinely resolved — with a verbatim quote behind every claim. It is in build now, for Intercom first.
Is this page suggesting I replace Freshdesk?
No. Freshdesk is a full help desk; Supportman is a quality and resolution layer. If you run Freshdesk today, this page is about the gap between a closed session and a solved problem, not about switching platforms.
How much does Freddy AI Agent cost?
Freshdesk’s pricing page lists Freddy AI Agent at $49 per 100 sessions (the first 500 are included), and Freddy AI Copilot at $29 per agent per month on Pro and Enterprise, on top of per-agent seat pricing ($19–$89 billed annually). Supportman is public: $5 per user per month for notifications and reports, $15 with AI evaluations.
Why would I want an independent check on Freddy’s own resolution numbers?
Any platform that bills or reports its own “outcome” has an incentive to count generously. An independent, evidence-quoted view of whether the customer’s problem actually went away is a useful second opinion, whichever help desk you run.
