Request and approve refunds from Intercom to Slack.
Your support agent requests a refund or exception directly from the Intercom inbox. The manager sees it in Slack, approves or rejects with a reason, and the decision is logged back in Intercom — all without leaving either tool.
- 1
Agent requests
The agent opens the Supportman panel in the Intercom inbox, selects a request type (refund, credit, exception), and submits.
- 2
Manager approves
The manager receives a formatted Slack message with approve/reject buttons and an optional reason field.
- 3
Decision logged
The approval or rejection is posted back to the Intercom conversation thread, creating an audit trail.

Email [email protected] — we respond within one business day.
- Does the agent need to leave Intercom?
- No. The approval request is submitted from a panel inside the Intercom inbox. The agent never needs to switch to Slack or email to request a decision.
- Where is the approval decision stored?
- The decision (approved/rejected + reason) is automatically posted back as an internal note on the Intercom conversation, so the full thread shows the outcome.
- Can I create custom approval types?
- Yes. You can configure custom request types — refund, partial credit, exception, free month, and more — to match your team's policies.
By installing Approvals you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Supportman is an independent product — not affiliated with Intercom or Slack.
