Users and seats
Intercom is the source of truth for your team. Supportman mirrors it, so adding or removing people happens in Intercom.
Who is a user
Supportman creates a user for every Intercom teammate with an inbox seat and an email, and matches them to Slack by email. Billable seats are owners, agents with an inbox seat, and Fin if you use it. Slack members without an Intercom inbox seat are not users and are never billed.
Add or remove people
Give or remove an inbox seat in Intercom. Supportman picks the change up on its next sync, at the latest on Thursday afternoon before the Friday report.
In the web app, Team Settings → Users lists everyone. Deactivating someone there removes their web app access only; it does not change your seats.
Get teammates into the web app
There is no invite email to send. Once someone is a user, share app.supportman.io and they sign in with the email they use in Intercom. The Handbook's setup checklist shows how many teammates have signed in so far.
Owners
Owners can manage billing and other owners. In Team Settings → Users, open the menu on someone's row and choose Make owner or Remove owner. You can make someone an owner even if they have no inbox seat, such as a finance lead, and owners count as billable seats.
Still stuck?
Email team@supportman.io or use the chat bubble on this page, and a person on the team will help.
